Array Lattice Design for Grating Lobe Avoidance
This web application allows one to graphically design an array lattice (rectangular or triangular) to avoide grating lobes at for a given frequency and scan volume. It is coded in Python as opposed to my original script which needed a Matlab environment to run.
The reference for this is
L. Corey, “A graphical technique for determining optimal array antenna geometry,” in IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, vol. 33, no. 7, pp. 719-726, July 1985
Note that for the triangular lattice the dx in the application is twice that denoted by Corey.
Bokeh Server provides a tremendous capability in this area. Forget JavaScript. Bokeh Server allows one to provide graphical apps with the power of python.
I have it running currently on an AWS EC2 T2-micro instance.
The only catch is that for access, port 5006 cannot be blocked on the client side. Check your firewall if it doesn’t work in your browser.
